- Redesigned the company's inventory system by creating data feed monitoring systems to monitor the inventory status and get accurate data such as how long has it been updated and how many items were updated. Created easy to manage drag and drop UI feature that allows managers to easily upload files by simply dropping it into a drop box. Added quick links to access other tools in one place to improve work efficiency.
- Created data entry assistant tools such as a boxmaker that creates box partials for products on the fly; a data file cleaner that fixes broken csv files, and other tools that makes data entry work easier for the data entry specialists. This saves lots of time and reduces the need of more manpower.
- Automated inventory data feeds. System fetches inventory without or with minimal human intervention.
- Created auto email attachment fetching tool that automatically scans MS Exchange Email Server for emails that are coming from vendors. The application automatically retrieves the file attachments and transfer them into the server. With this, the team doesn’t need to browse through thousands of emails to look for the files, saving them lots of time.
- Created a tool that help find discontinued items in the system database by analyzing several factors such as the stock amount, the time it was last updated, the last time they change price, and how long they've remain without inventory.
- Created an Upload System that creates backups of previous data as it uploads new data into the database. This ensures that the team can always restore old data in case a mistake has been made.
- Created schedulers and Cron jobs that automatically updates the data in the system without human intervention. This makes sure the system is updated even on the holidays.
- Created and designed a data entry system that uploads data into the database in bulk, enabling the team to update tens of thousands of items in the database in a short period of time.
- Optimized SQL queries and scaled processes based on system capability to ensure the company server don’t crash.
- I designed and created tools that creates critical reports the team uses to aid them detect inconsistencies and fix data-related issues in the system.
- I assist Senior Developers debug and fix critical system components, including adding new functions to the existing ecommerce backend system.
